the blasted Fs
Feel. Forgive. Forget. You must first admit to yourself and God that you have feelings of anger, hate or ill will. Feeling is difficult enough without throwing in forgiveness. I hope you be will be raised to acknowledge all of your feelings whether or not they are "nice" feelings. I was raised to believe that it was bad to feel anger or hate. I don't think in the longrun that was conducive to a healthy lifestyle for me. It muted my senses. Caused me to make some wrong decisions. The feelings themselves are not evil, it is how you react to your feelings that count. It is a blessing to be able to forgive. If you ask for God's help, it is doable. I think forgetting is the toughest of the thre Fs. Thoughts have a way of creeping into your mind. And if you allow them to sit there they have a way of stirring up emotions that are not healthy if allowed to stagnate. I will always be there to help you sort out your feelings and guide you with God's help to put them in perspective. There will never be anything that you cannot discuss with me. With God's help we will be able to act appropriately and ask for the ability to forgive and the tenacity to forget.
